Scenic Delights of Lake Michigan

Travel with us to three of the Midwest's most scenic areas…Door County, Traverse Bay and Mackinac Island! We are still in the process of putting the final touches on this wonderful trip that has been a huge favorite of AmeriClub travelers in the past! By the time you are reading this everything should be finalized and the brochure will be ready. Here are some of the highlights to whet your travel appetite!

Door County, WI

Spend two nights on this lovely peninsula that is often called the "Cape Cod of the Midwest." Explore its quaint villages, visit the shores of both Green Bay and Lake Michigan, experience a Door County Fish Boil (which is delicious) and feel yourself unwind in this special place.

Traverse City, MI

We will take the ferry across Lake Michigan from Manitowoc, WI, to Ludington, MI, and spend two nights in Traverse City. A local guide will take us on an all day tour to visit some of the great scenic sites and unique attractions the area has to offer.

Mackinac Island, MI

Enjoy a gorgeous scenic drive this morning as we depart for Mackinac Island. We will take the ferry from Mackinaw City to Mackinac Island, where the horse is king! Relax and let the magic of the island take you back to the "good old days" as the grandeur of the Grand Hotel brings back memories of a more genteel time. We will spend two nights at this landmark hotel, celebrating its 125th Anniversary.

Our final night will be spent in Green Bay, WI, and we have a very entertaining lunch planned for you as we travel from Green Bay back to Iowa.
