American Woman! What matters to women...

This year’s exclusive “American Woman” Night will be held September 11, 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., at the Dubuque Golf & Country Club. Presented in cooperation with the Women’s Leadership Network, this year’s speaker is Sarah Michel, CSP. Sarah has outstanding speaking credentials, and her clients include the US Olympic Committee, National Security Agency, Motorola, Northrop Grumman, US Air Force, Lea & Perrins, Hyperion Solutions, and more. She is the author of Perfecting Connecting, Learning to Speak the Language of Others.

Her talk will be “Networking for Life... Not Just For the Moment. The Power of Community.” In this inspirational and humorous program, Sarah shares her journey with cancer and the life-saving connections that helped save her life. Sarah will motivate us to focus on being authentic with our intentions and to look for ways to bring value to our network, which results in building a powerful community that will support us through any crisis. She will demonstrate that we are less than six people away from anyone we need to know, whether we are looking for a new job, dream home, or an answer to a health crisis. She will inspire us to network for life, instead of just for the moment.
